Bounce is about developing the ability to say yes to whatever happens in life – good, bad, or indifferent. It’s about being fully present, bringing the best of who we are to every situation. And it’s about being able to accept ourselves completely, warts and all.
Everything you find here at Bounce will help you develop your resiliency. By learning to say yes, you will be better able to bounce back from just about anything – from losing a loved one to stress at work to the dog throwing up on your shoes right before you’re headed out the door.
I’m Bobbi Emel and I’m a psychotherapist, Personal Guidance Coach, and a Certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner.
Life is change
The only thing that’s certain in life is that it will always change. And not always in the ways that we prefer.
I’ve had my own share of changes that I had to bounce back from. In 2004 I lost my partner to breast cancer. Grief was much harder and more devastating than I anticipated and it took me quite awhile to get my bounce back.
In 2009 – at the height of the Great Recession – I had to sell the dream house I had created for myself. I was devastated both emotionally and financially.
But I made it through both of those traumatic events – plus many smaller ones along the way – and learned the skills that I share with you here on Bounce.
Besides my personal experience, I’m a bit of a research nerd so you’ll always be kept up to date on evidence-based resiliency skills and strategies.
The best way to get started here on Bounce is to download my free ebook, Bounce Back! 5 keys to survive and thrive through life’s ups and downs.
I’m looking forward to our shared time here at Bounce!
